In a world where we are told to blend in. To stay the path. Dont rock the boat ! Dont stand out !!! Here we are.Some of us are born into money, many us born into poverty. Some are born to be great and some of us endeavor to become a better man or a better woman. And there are a select few that were destine to be Ludgers ! We will forgo wealth end greatness to persue our passion.We will sacrifice life and limb to race. We have no choice. We do not choose our destiny . The Ludge chooses us ! We are its voice. We are its soul! We are its very breath. We are the life that comes from the union of man and tank. We don't race for the prize, we race because it calls to us in our sleep and we dream of our craft. The cheer of the crowd and the smell of blacktop is our reward.

Could we say NO and go on with our normal life? Did Sir Isac Newton say no when he was called ?. Hell no and what a cookie he made. Who would have thought figs could taste so good? When greatness calls, we will answer. We can get in the back seat and let someone else drive, or we can get into the drivers seat and drive it like we stole it. Some things in life are that way. Our Passion for life will dictate how far we will go, what chances we are willing to take. The Ludge is our passion and there are no limits to what we will do to win THE Blue Ludge.

So I wish you the best my friends. To The Ludgers that will risk it all this week I thank you for answering the call with a resounding yes. Life will happen whether you are a participant in it or an observer. Thanks for taking the front seat. I look foreword to seeing you all in my rear view mirror. Can you feel it? You can almost smell it? You can't sleep at night? It’s almost here. You know what I’m talking about. Saturday will be the day of reckoning. The rightful King will be crowned. The Lugers will come to pay there respects to this game we call The Blue Luge! Luge is life they will proclaim. The race will be only fleeting but the stories of crafting and building will carry us through the long winter months and comfort us in our old age. The Luge Is Life they will scream!

Sleep well my friends. Soon the sun will shine brighter and the air will be heavy with anticipation. The gentile sounds of Frogs in the pond will be replaced with the sound of raw drunken stupidity. Old men bragging of the superiority of there machines, all the while with thoughts of sabotage in the back of there minds. The Luge is Life. It’s bigger than anyone person, any ones dreams, any fantasy pales in the light of Victory!
To the mortal onlookers and nay Sayers that would reject the Luge I say,
"The Luge is Life!"

SUPER DAVE makes a test run for the upcoming "GASCAR" 200!
Super Dave rolled out his BLUE TANK prototype that first weekend for a trial "run for the hoses" in what could best be charaterized as an RV campers version of the "Soap Box Derby".
Dave made it half way to the new pond from in front of the store without serious injury. The camp "HEAD NURSE", Ms Siren, and his wife Kim had emergency bandages, (if unsuccessful), and beer, (if he made it safe).
Dave is looking at a 2 movie deal in the future named, "Looking Out For Number Two"
